What is the SE154 Juboflex® flexible coupling?

The Hutchinson Paulstra SE154 Juboflex® flexible coupling provides torque transmission while reducing cyclic irregularities and torque peaks.

Its resilient element combines pre-compressed natural rubber, bonded metal reinforcements and a pre-compression strap which must be removed after installation. The hubs are made from drop-forged steel, with some larger references manufactured from cast iron.

Its design allows radial removal without moving the coupled machines and limits tensile loading of the rubber through pre-compression.

Note: the resilient elements are supplied pre-compressed with a strap. This strap must be removed after installation. During operation, pre-compression is maintained by the fixing bolts.

How to install the SE154 coupling?

The resilient element is supplied pre-compressed with a strap. During installation, successively secure the mounting points of the resilient element to the two hubs, tighten the bolts to the recommended torque and then remove the strap.

During operation, the coupling must operate without the strap around the resilient element. Pre-compression is maintained by the fixing bolts.
