Acoustics

For many years, Solutions Elastomères has been a major player in the field of sound insulation for a wide range of applications (industrial machinery, entertainment venues, reception halls, recording studios, acoustic barriers, etc.). We offer a wide range of sound insulation materials designed to meet a variety of acoustic insulation requirements: alveolar polyurethane foam (also known as egg-crate foam), waterproof rubber foam, fire-rated foam, melamine foam (also known as Basotect foam), acoustic underlays, resilient sheets, heavy mass sheets, sound insulation for pipes and pipework, sound insulation for walls, acoustic accessories, sound level meters and more.

Acoustic foam: an effective sound insulation panel for soundproofing

Panels or sheets of acoustic foam are one of the most effective solutions for reducing noise nuisance and improving soundproofing. Although many materials are available on the market today, acoustic foams are specifically designed to absorb sound and provide a high level of acoustic performance when used as sheets or panels. Thanks to its open-cell structure, polyurethane acoustic foam traps sound waves, which gradually lose their intensity as they travel through the thickness of the panel, generally between 30 and 50 mm. Polyurethane acoustic foam is often manufactured with an alveolar profile, which significantly increases the sound absorption surface without substantially increasing the cost compared with flat foam. Noise levels can be assessed using a simple sound level meter, for example when treating ceilings.

Machine soundproofing and acoustic insulation solutions for rooms and recording studios

Solutions Elastomères offers a wide range of high-quality acoustic foams for soundproofing industrial machinery, acoustic treatment of public spaces and buildings, music rooms and recording studios, home cinema rooms, as well as sound insulation for private applications (soundproofing for walls and ceilings, black acoustic insulation for engines and pumps, acoustic panel sets for generator sets, air-conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation systems or compressors, etc.).

Several types of sound insulation materials are available from our factories: alveolar soundproofing foam, black smooth-side acoustic foam, pyramid acoustic panels, fire-rated acoustic insulation materials and dense waterproof rubber foam.

Acoustic foam panel manufacturer and sound insulation sheet delivery

Solutions Elastomères aims to provide effective sound insulation panels and sheets with a high sound absorption coefficient, manufactured in France or Europe and often featuring high-density materials. Our solutions are designed to meet the requirements of industrial customers in terms of resistance and performance, the requirements of public facilities with fire-rated sound insulation materials, as well as the needs of private customers looking for effective sound insulation against noise and nearby sounds. Our range includes ceiling noise-reducing foam with adhesive backing for easier wall installation, soundproofing foam sheets compatible with technical adhesives, acoustic underlays for soundproofing floors and recording studios, sound insulation for pipes and more.

Our Sound Insulation and Building department has also developed a high-performance acoustic insulation solution in panel form for renovation projects: the Acoustic Wall Kit. Easy to install, it allows homeowners or tenants affected by noise nuisance such as neighbourhood noise, impact noise on tiled or wooden floors, voices and other disturbances to quickly improve sound insulation without requiring extensive and costly soundproofing work.

Noise-reducing foam sheets and acoustic foam rolls for rooms

Solutions Elastomères acoustic foams are available as sheets or panels (composite acoustic foams, alveolar acoustic foams, smooth-side noise-reducing foams, dense rubber foams, polyurethane foam and heavy bitumen sheets), in rolls (black rubber foams, fire-retardant polyurethane foams) or in boxes (melamine acoustic foam and fire-rated Basotect foam).

The Solutions Elastomères Acoustics range is also complemented by a selection of accessories designed for installing acoustic insulation panels: foam spirals for suspending Basotect melamine acoustic foam from ceilings, aluminium adhesive tape for joining rubber foams, ear protectors and a digital sound level meter for checking sound levels and acoustic performance in recording studios and other spaces.

High-quality acoustic foam for shooting ranges: maximum absorption, competitive prices and large stock

The acoustic foams most commonly used in shooting ranges and shooting centres are alveolar polyurethane foams and composite foams supplied as panels. Composite foams are denser and protected on one side by a waterproof film. Advice and quotation requests are free of charge, so please feel free to contact our technical team by phone on +33 4 77 47 51 92 if you need assistance with your application.

Solutions Elastomères offers a large stock of acoustic panels and fast delivery throughout Europe. Deliveries are handled by our approved carriers DPD for parcels up to 30 kg and Kuehne + Nagel for pallet shipments.
