What is the SE155 Radiaflex® RTP?

The SE155 Radiaflex® RTP is a Hutchinson Paulstra flexible coupling designed for transmitting high torque and capable of withstanding axial loads in both tension and compression.

Its resilient element consists of a variable number of natural rubber mounts depending on the torque to be transmitted. The mounts are fitted between two steel flanges connected to the coupling hubs.

Each mount combines several components designed to transmit loads while allowing controlled deformation of the rubber:

• truncated-cone-shaped natural rubber body
• inner metal reinforcement bonded to the rubber
• screwed stud
• outer metal reinforcement bonded to the rubber
• threaded rod welded to the reinforcement
• cylindrical metal cup

The steel flanges accommodate the mounts in their slots and are bolted to the coupling hubs.

The slots in the flanges can accommodate removable centring sleeves. These allow each resilient mount to be installed and removed individually in the radial direction.

1. Fit the hubs onto the corresponding shafts
2. Secure the flanges to the hubs
3. Secure the outer reinforcement of each mount to the corresponding flange
4. Secure the inner reinforcement of the mount to the other flange

When reassembling, observe the tightening torque specified in the reference table.
