Acoustic comfort Why install acoustic panels in a restaurant?
In a restaurant, conversations, tableware, movement and music can quickly increase the overall noise level. Hard walls, glazing, ceilings and floors reflect sound and increase reverberation.
Adding sound-absorbing materials helps reduce these reflections and improves the acoustic comfort of both customers and staff. Acoustic treatment does not necessarily mean adding purely technical elements: acoustic panels can also become an integral part of the interior design.
Reduce background noise
Limit the build-up of sound reflections as the dining room fills up.
Make conversations easier
Create a more comfortable environment for conversations at the table.
Preserve the design
Integrate acoustic solutions without compromising the restaurant’s identity.
Create a decorative feature
Use shapes, colours and custom-cut panels as part of the interior design.
Two complementary approaches Cloud or PET panels: what are the possibilities?
SE50CLOUD and SE40M1-PET panels both provide effective acoustic correction while offering considerable design freedom. The most suitable solution mainly depends on the layout of the space and the desired visual result.

SE50CLOUD acoustic panels
Cloud panels are particularly suitable when you want to work with ceilings and room volumes. Suspended from the ceiling or installed on walls, they can create decorative compositions while reducing reverberation.
Square, rectangular, round or hexagonal: several shapes are available to create a composition suited to the architecture of the space.

PET panels made from recycled polyester fibres offer a high degree of design freedom. They can be used in standard formats as well as for projects requiring custom-cut and personalised shapes.
Geometric shapes, decorative compositions or elements inspired by a visual identity: the acoustic panel can become a genuine part of the interior design.

Our projects Three restaurants, three ways to integrate acoustic treatment
Suspended Cloud panels, custom-cut PET panels or graphic personalisation: discover three projects where acoustic panels are integrated directly into the architecture and visual identity of each restaurant.
Cloud + custom-cut PET La Maison du Portail Rouge
At La Maison du Portail Rouge, acoustic treatment is fully integrated into the restaurant’s interior design. The aim was to improve acoustic comfort while maintaining a natural integration with the architecture and atmosphere of the space.
Suspended Cloud panels are used to treat ceiling areas and room volumes, while custom-cut PET elements provide greater freedom in terms of shape and decorative integration.

Solutions used
A combination of Cloud acoustic panels and custom-cut PET panels was used to adapt the acoustic treatment to the different areas of the restaurant.
Custom-cut PET Garage à Bières
At Garage à Bières, the acoustic panels have been integrated directly into the ceiling to improve acoustic comfort in a large, lively and busy space.
The project uses custom-cut PET acoustic panels in rectangular formats. Installed at different heights and repeated throughout the room, they improve the acoustics while complementing the venue’s industrial and graphic identity.

Solution used
Custom-cut PET acoustic panels distributed across the ceiling make use of the large available surfaces while integrating naturally into the restaurant’s interior design.
Custom-cut and personalised PET Bouillon de Famille
At Bouillon de Famille, PET acoustic panels are fully integrated into the restaurant’s visual identity. The circular shapes distributed across the ceiling provide acoustic treatment while creating a graphic composition that complements the interior design.
The project goes even further with custom-cut and personalised PET panels incorporating the restaurant’s logo. Acoustic treatment therefore becomes a genuine decorative feature and contributes directly to the identity of the venue.

Solution used
Custom-cut PET acoustic panels in circular shapes make use of the available ceiling surfaces and contribute to reducing reverberation.
Some pieces have also been personalised with the restaurant’s logo, highlighting the cutting and graphic integration possibilities offered by PET.
Integration On the ceiling, on the walls or as part of the design: where should acoustic panels be installed?
There is no single way to integrate acoustic treatment. The layout depends on the architecture of the space, the available surfaces and the desired visual result.
On the ceiling
Panels can be suspended to work with room volume and create different heights, or fixed directly to the ceiling for a more discreet integration.
On the walls
Wall surfaces can accommodate standard acoustic panels or custom-cut shapes to adapt the acoustic treatment to the interior design.
As part of the design
Custom-cut PET can be used to create graphic shapes on walls or ceilings, transforming acoustic treatment into a genuine visual identity feature.

View the range →Designing your project How to choose and integrate your acoustic panels
The right solution depends on the restaurant layout, the available surfaces and the desired visual result.
Assess the room
Identify large hard surfaces and the areas where reverberation is most noticeable.
Choose the surfaces to treat
Ceilings, walls or decorative elements: each project can use a different layout.
Choose Cloud or PET
Cloud panels are ideal for working with room volumes, while PET provides greater freedom for personalised shapes.
Design the composition
Shapes, colours, positioning and height can all be coordinated with the interior design.
Frequently asked questions FAQ about acoustic panels for restaurants
Which acoustic panel should you choose for a restaurant?
The right choice depends on the layout of the space. Cloud panels are particularly suitable for ceilings and suspended compositions, while PET offers greater freedom for customised shapes.
What is the difference between a Cloud panel and a PET panel?
Cloud panels are particularly suited to suspended or wall-mounted compositions. PET panels provide a high degree of cutting and personalisation freedom, making it possible to integrate acoustic treatment directly into the interior design.
Can PET acoustic panels be custom cut?
PET can be used for projects requiring personalised shapes, allowing the acoustic treatment to be adapted to the architecture and interior design of the space.
Can a logo be incorporated into an acoustic panel?
PET personalisation makes it possible to create shapes inspired by a visual identity. Our Bouillon de Famille project, for example, shows how the restaurant’s logo can be incorporated directly into selected panels.
Should acoustic panels be installed on walls or ceilings?
Both solutions are possible. The best location depends on the available surfaces, the layout of the room and the decorative project.
Can an acoustic panel insulate a restaurant from outside noise?
No. The panels presented here are primarily designed to reduce reverberation inside the room. Sound insulation between two spaces is a different acoustic issue.
