What is the Paulstrafloat® anti-vibration mounting?
The Hutchinson Paulstra Paulstrafloat® is a rectangular anti-vibration mounting particularly suitable for marine applications, transport and on-board equipment.
Its design combines an elastomer suspension with a metal structure allowing direct fixing to the floor or a chassis. The mounting consists of:
- a lower metal frame with slotted fixing holes;
- a protective cup that protects the rubber and distributes the loads;
- an anti-shock and anti-rebound system designed to limit the effects of high loads and movement.
What are the advantages of the Paulstrafloat®?
✅ Quick installation: the machine fitted with its mountings can be installed directly on the floor or on a chassis.
✅ Easy adjustment: the slotted holes provide positioning flexibility during installation.
✅ Elastomer protection: the protective cup helps protect the rubber against external conditions.
✅ Wide load range: several sizes and 4 rubber hardnesses allow the mounting to be adapted to the equipment.
✅ Anti-rebound system: the design helps secure the assembly when subjected to significant loads or movement.
How does the Paulstrafloat® mounting work?
The Paulstrafloat® is designed to provide different stiffnesses along the three axes: vertical, longitudinal and transverse.
- The rubber operates in compression and shear.
- The mounting provides high axial flexibility.
- The slotted holes facilitate position adjustment.
- Its design is particularly suitable for on-board systems.
Installation recommendation: Paulstrafloat® mountings should be positioned so that their longitudinal axis withstands the maximum radial load.
What applications is the Paulstrafloat® suitable for?
The Paulstrafloat® is particularly suitable for marine applications, engine suspension, transport and on-board equipment. It can also be used with stationary equipment such as generator sets, pumps, compressors and other vibration-generating machinery.
What are the dimensions of the Paulstrafloat® mounting?
The Paulstrafloat® is available in three main sizes. Dimensions A, C, K, H, d1, L1, L2 and G are identified in the diagram below and listed in the technical table.

Key point: the Paulstrafloat® range covers maximum loads from 60 to 1,380 daN, with four available hardnesses: 45, 55, 65 and 75 Shore A.
How to choose your Paulstrafloat® reference?
Start by determining the load supported by each mounting, then select the appropriate size and hardness from the table above. Also check the available installation space, the G thread and the maximum permissible load when the mounting is subjected to thrust.
For effective vibration isolation, the mounting must be selected according to the actual applied load and the operating conditions of the equipment.
