What is the Radiaflex SE111 anti-vibration mounting?
The Hutchinson Paulstra Radiaflex SE111 is a rubber anti-vibration mounting consisting of cylindrical metal plates and bonded natural rubber. Its design provides greater radial flexibility than axial flexibility.
Depending on the installation configuration, the rubber operates in compression in the axial direction, shear in the radial direction or compression-shear. This versatility makes the Radiaflex suitable for a wide variety of vibration isolation configurations.
- Metal parts: cylindrical metal plates.
- Elastomer: bonded natural rubber.
- Fixings: threaded studs, tapped holes or mixed fixing depending on the reference.
- Operating temperature: -20 °C to +70 °C.
What are the advantages of the Radiaflex?
✅ Versatile installation: several fixing configurations allow the mounting to be adapted to the machine and its supporting structure.
✅ Simple and economical solution: a proven range suitable for many vibration isolation applications.
✅ Wide choice of references: numerous diameters, heights, load capacities and fixing types are available.
✅ Multidirectional operation: compression, shear or a combination of both depending on the installation.
What applications is the Radiaflex suitable for?
The Radiaflex is designed to protect machines and structures against vibration. It can notably be used beneath thermal, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic machinery, electrical cabinets, ventilation systems, air-conditioning units, generator sets, pumps, hoppers or floating floors.
How does the Radiaflex mounting work?
The choice of installation configuration makes it possible to use the properties of the rubber according to the direction of the applied loads. Under axial compression, the mounting supports the vertical load. Under radial shear, its greater flexibility can be used for vibration isolation, provided that the permissible loads of the selected reference are respected.
The Radiaflex can also operate in compression-shear when the installation combines loads in several directions.

Where can you find the Radiaflex SE111 dimensions and references?
Radiaflex dimensions vary according to the mounting diameter, height and fixing type.
The letters shown on the diagrams above, such as ØA, B, C, D, G, H or S depending on the version, correspond directly to the dimensions shown in the Hutchinson Paulstra technical data sheet tables.
How to find your reference?
- Identify your fixing configuration using the diagrams above.
- Open the SE111 technical data sheet and locate the corresponding table.
- Compare your installation dimensions with the available dimensions.
- Then check the maximum compression load and deflection.
- Depending on the application, also check the available shear characteristics.

How to install a Radiaflex mounting?
For the fixing holes, provide an entry chamfer with a height equal to the pitch of the threaded stud.

Important: the recommended tightening torque is that specified for grade 6.6 bolts. When using automatic tools, it is recommended to check the tightening force.

Fixing by welding is strongly discouraged.
How to choose your Radiaflex reference?
The choice of a Radiaflex mounting mainly depends on the fixing method, available dimensions, load to be supported and the required behaviour in compression or shear.
Start by identifying your configuration using the diagrams shown above. Then refer to the corresponding table in the SE111 technical data sheet to compare the references compatible with your installation.
Remember: dimensions alone are not sufficient to select an anti-vibration mounting. The permissible load, deflection, direction of operation and fixing type must also be suitable for the installation.
