Gripsol Yellow 7: anti-vibration pad for machinery with horizontal movements
The Gripsol Yellow 7 is a self-gripping vibration-damping support designed to reduce the transmission of mechanical vibrations to floors and surrounding structures.
This felt and NBR anti-vibration pad is particularly suitable for equipment with horizontal movements, including weaving looms, shaping machines and certain industrial saws.
With a thickness of 7 mm and an indicative natural frequency of 9 to 18 Hz, it provides vibration isolation when correctly sized for the loads and movements of the installation.
Gripsol Yellow 7 offers specific chemical resistance to certain oils and hydrocarbons. However, compatibility must be checked with the fluids actually present in the installation.

Compression stress values do not represent an acceptable load range. The required support area must be determined according to the actual operating conditions and applicable technical recommendations.
Chemical compatibility
The technical documentation for Gripsol Yellow 7 lists resistance to several substances, including certain lubricating oils, mineral oils, vegetable oils, diesel and ethylene glycol. However, it identifies weaknesses when exposed to acetone, ether, benzene and methyl ethyl ketone.
For installations exposed to chemicals or specific fluids, we recommend contacting our technical team to check compatibility with your application.
Applications of Gripsol Yellow 7
Gripsol Yellow 7 is particularly suitable for equipment generating horizontal movements and vibrations transmitted through its support points.
- Weaving looms: reducing vibration transmission associated with operating movements.
- Shaping machines: isolating vibrations generated by reciprocating movements.
- Certain industrial saws: limiting vibrations transmitted to surrounding structures, subject to appropriate sizing.
- Other equipment with horizontal movements: possible use after checking mechanical forces and technical characteristics.
How to install Gripsol Yellow 7?
Proper installation requires determining the actual load at each support point, the equipment movements and the contact area needed to ensure stability.
1. Assess the forces at each support point
Determine the equipment weight and how it is distributed between support points, taking account of the horizontal movements generated during operation.
2. Adjust the dimensions
Determine the required support area according to the technical recommendations. Manual cutting with a sharp, high-quality utility knife is possible, although considerable effort may be needed depending on the material structure.
3. Position the supports
Prepare the supporting surfaces and follow the self-gripping procedure described in the installation instructions. Remove the protective films at the specified stage, then check the stability of the installation.
