What is the SC SE118 anti-vibration mounting?

The Paulstra SC SE118 anti-vibration mounting consists of an annular rubber element bonded between two concentric metal parts. Its outer housing is a cylindrical section with a flange, available in several configurations.

With a natural frequency ranging from 6 to 30 Hz, it helps reduce vibration transmission while securely supporting the equipment.

How does the SC SE118 mounting work?

The rubber works mainly in shear. Its axial flexibility is approximately four times greater than its radial flexibility, combining flexibility along the main axis with good transverse stability.

With a suitable metal bump-stop washer, the mounting can also provide a progressive stop effect in the event of impact or accidental overload.

What are the advantages of the SC mounting?

How to choose and install your SC mounting?

Load: select a reference with an operating range corresponding to the supported load.
Frequency: take into account the disturbing frequency and the natural frequency of the mounting.
Hardness: select the appropriate hardness according to the required stiffness and load capacity.
Installation: the mounting axis must be parallel to the main direction of vibration.
Connections: keep connections to external equipment flexible to prevent vibration bridges.
